Eastern Europe Technical Center: a look back on the past
year
April 13, 2011
Last ye
ar, Firestone Building Products
decided to open up a Technical Center for the Eastern European
market in order to
- Show our commitment to the Eastern European market
- Provide more, better and quicker support to the sales team
- Increase the number of skilled and trained installers
- Improve the technical skills of the new and/or existing
contractors
- Minimize travel time while maximizing efficiency of the
technical visits
An important part of the EETC is therefore its fully equipped
training center.
The Training Center can organize seminars for up to 12 people.
Seminars include theoretical sessions as well as ample hands-on
practice to familiarize participants with the Firestone roofing and
lining products (RubberGard EPDM, UltraPly TPO, PondGard and
Geomembrane).
Since the opening in April 2010, the EETC has organized 38
seminars and has trained approx. 400 participants.
The EETC is located in Bratislava (SK) and can easily be
accessed via motorway (right of the Vienna-Bratislava motorway),
railway (train station is walking distance) or air (driving
distance from Vienna and Bratislava airport). Hotel accommodation
for participants is provided in the Bratislava city center.

Next to organizing and conducting training sessions, other
services provided by the EETC staff are job site assistance,
inspections, BOQ and wind uplift calculations, creation of layout
plans and putting together specification documents.
Please contact Martin Strelec (mst@fbpe.be), who is in charge of
the EETC, or your regional Firestone representative for more
information about the services provided by the EETC.
