System Criteria

The Firestone EPDM Ballasted Roofing System is suitable for virtually all buildings designed to accommodate the weight of the ballast. It is ideal for accessible roofs with slopes of less than 1:6.

System Installation

The large EPDM membrane panels are loose laid on the substrate. When necessary, adjoining sheets are overlapped and spliced using Firestone QuickSeam Tape seaming technology. Perimeters and penetrations are flashed in accordance with Firestone specifications (pdf 1.074 kB) Once completed, the membrane is ballasted using approved stones or smooth pavers, with a minimum weight of 50 kg/m².
